Proposals invitied for the 2013 Buckminster Fuller Challenge which is providing grants of up to $100,000 to find a solution that has significant potential to solve one of humanity’s most pressing problems. This program provides grants of up to $100,000.
This prize program is a call to the world’s artists, scientists, designers, architects, engineers, students, and entrepreneurs committed to playing a transformative role in addressing the biggest issues we face today.
Entries can span the spectrum of scale – from macrostrategies restoring and maintaining ecosystems necessary for life on earth to thrive, to community-based ventures that have global relevance. Entries can also span the spectrum of development stage – from well formulated concept, to proof-of-concept, to proven track record. Competence and commitment of the team behind the idea is more important.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Individuals and/or teams may submit no more than 1 (one) entry for consideration. Entries will be accepted if the individual and/or team members-
- Are 18 years of age or older.
- Maintain a current and valid form of identification appropriate to country of residence.
- Submit entry in English.
- Follow the submission process completely and on time.
- Are available to be contacted by email or telephone at any point in the evaluation process, and are available (if requested) for a site visit by a member of the evaluation committee.
