The International Water Week (IWW) in Amsterdam is a high-level gathering of about 30,000 water professionals from all over the world from October 29 to November 4. There will be parallel conferences and exhibitions on water innovations from across the world.
IWWA Movie Challenge: Tracing the journey of a drinking water-drop
In this context, the organizers are inviting students and young professionals to Investigate where their drinking water comes from: is it from out of the ground, is it collected from their own well or do they drink bottled water? What have happened to the water before they drank it? The organizers challenge you to tell the story of your drop of drinking water in less than 3 minutes. The best entry will win the Water Movie Award 2011.
Students and young professionals can submit a short movie about the journey and challenges a water drop faces as it moves through the water cycle.
Selection Criteria
Your movie will be judged on creativity, the message and production quality. The top 30 will be posted on Facebook, these movies will be judged by the organizers’ Facebook community.
From among the 30, the Facebook community will vote for a top-ten list.
A distinguished jury will pick one winner, who will bag the first IWW Movie Award to be announced at the IWW, 2011
Last date for submission of entries is October 1, 2011
