Founded in 1946, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is one of the main conservation organisations in UK working for the protection of wetlands for wildlife and people on earth. The WWT was created by late Sir Peter Scott, a famous naturalist and artist. This trust is acknowledged as the sole UK charity that can boast of a national network of nine specialist wetland visitor centres. The organization now has an experience of more than 60 years about wetland protection and its achievements match Peter Scott’s ambitions for wetland conservations.
The main vision of WWT is a worldwide network of healthy, productive wetlands, where a rich variety of wildlife can live and breed safely, and ensure people’s lives are enriched by learning about and being close to nature.
