The Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) invites published or unpublished essay/paper from young scholars working and living in Europe for Corinna Seith Award 2014.
Themes
- Institutional responses to domestic violence or sexual violence
- Children and domestic violence
- Violence prevention, including self-defense for women and girls
- Innovations in methodology for studying violence against women and/or children
- Theoretical perspectives on violence against women and/or children
Eligibility Criteria
- The submission can be published or unpublished essay/paper written by young scholar.
- The young scholar should have a PhD candidate or new PhD within the last 5 years or a researcher with a career of 5 years or less.
- Entrant needs to work and live in Europe.
- The essay or paper should be sole authored by the applicant and reflect the applicant’s own, original research.
- The length of the essay should be approximately 4 to 7 thousands words.
- Submission can be either in English or German language.
- The submission must address one of the above mentioned themes.
- The submission should make link to policy and/or practice.
- The submission must have feminist perspective/foundations, adopt a new or original approach, relevance to practice and social change, awareness of current knowledge base.
- The submission must be clear and writing must be qualitative.
