The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) has announced call for papers for the 2012 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC). The 28th annual event will be organized at The Roosevelt New Orleans in New Orleans, July 16–20, 2012. The CMSC is the sole North American conference dedicated to users of portable, high-precision measurement technology used to examine manufactured and assembled components on the factory floor.
The Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) offers a professional platform where ideas, concepts and theory flow freely among participants. The educational atmosphere motivates attendees to learn and network regarding the latest innovations in the field of portable 3D industrial measurement technologies. We will offer technical presentations by Industry Experts, advanced Workshops and Seminars along with an Exhibition Hall filled with the world’s leading providers of the metrology systems. The organization inaugrates abstracts for presentations and technical papers submitted by metrology professionals from manufacturers, science laboratories, and academia.
Some of the topics include:
- Industry best practices
- Scientific research and developments
- Successful applications of 3-d coordinate measurement systems
At the 2011 CMSC, 26 presentations were delivered by industry leaders and educational institutions covering technology, theory, and practice to advance the field of 3-D metrology. The CMS organizes conference each year to gather information and attend white paper presentations delivered by their peers. Attendees include novice as well as veteran technology users, service providers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) of close-tolerance, portable industrial coordinate measurement systems, software and peripherals. Exhibition will also be organized to showcase laser projection systems, laser trackers, photogrammetry/videogrammetry systems, scanners, laser radars, articulating arms and indoor GPS.
Abstract submissions will be peer-reviewed by the CMS and considered for presentation at CMSC 2012.
Deadline:
- Abstract submission deadline: March 1, 2012
- Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2012
- Technical papers due: May 15, 2012
- Presentations due: June 15, 2012
- Final paper/presentation revisions deadline: July 1, 2012
