Call for Papers are invited at Journal of International Women’s Studies on the topic “Arab Women & the Arab Spring”. This Second Special Issue of the Journal of International Women’s Studies (JIWS) invites articles on Arab women and their role in the current revolutions sweeping the Arab World referred to as the Arab Spring. Submissions will address an extensive range of discussions on issues related to Arab women and their role in the current revolutions. Moreover, the submission will also focus their role in the potential process of transition to democracy in the Arab World.
The journal is seeking articles which tackle various issues, specifically covering the Arab world including Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Comoros, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.
Scholars and activists are invited to submit unpublished manuscripts which are currently not under review.
The deadline for submission is May 30th, 2012.
