Call for Proposals are invited at traditional Ethnic Studies conference entitled, “Crossing Lines: Praxis in Mixed Race/Space Studies.” The conference will be organized at the UC Berkeley campus from 16th to 17th March, 2012. This will include panels, poetry performances, film screenings and an art exhibit. This event will be co-Sponsored by the UC Berkeley Center for Race and Gender and Ethnic Studies Department.
The main aim of the working group is to create a safe space for scholars to discuss issues of mixed race identity and also to offer a venue for those engaged in this field to present developing ideas and projects.
- Submissions are invited on any of the following areas:
- Academic papers
- Art work
- Poetry
The proposals address the theme of emerging and future discourses in mixed race studies.
All proposals need to be submitted by January 15th, 2012.
Presenters may be faculty, scholars/researchers, graduate and undergraduate students. Submissions are invited from all individuals who work on this topic but especially the participants who belong to mixed race or mixed culture.
