Call for Proposals are invited by HP Labs’ Innovation Research Program (IRP) for the year 2012. This program is designed to create opportunities at universities, colleges and research institutes throughout the world for collaborative research with HP. With the annual Open Call for Proposals, we request innovative ideas on various research topics with the goal of incorporating innovative research collaborations.
The 2012 call for proposals comprise two rounds. In the first round, applicants are asked to submit an abstract of their proposed collaborative research project. All submitted abstracts will be analyzed and selected authors will be invited to develop and submit a full proposal in the second round. The authors submitting full proposals will be required to confirm their institution’s acceptance of the terms of the HP Labs Innovation Research Program.
Award decisions will be informed to program participants from late April 2012 after full proposals have been reviewed. Submitted proposals must align with one of the research topics described in the Guide to the 2012 IRP. Proposals are reviewed by HP Labs scientists and selected to receive funding awards based on their alignment with the chosen research topic and expected impact of the proposed research.
Proposal Submission
The online submission system will begin accepting IRP proposals in week beginning 2 January. The deadline to submit a proposal is 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday 27 January 2012.
