Call for Proposals are invited at the 7th Annual University-City Relations Conference which will be organized from June 4 to 8, 2012. This conference will be sponsored by the International Town and Gown Association (ITGA) and hosted by Eastern Kentucky University and the city of Richmond.
ITGA will select sessions that best demonstrate effective, innovative, and plain yet brilliant town/gown collaborations in the following areas:
- Economic Development Initiatives (Business-Government-University Partnerships)
- Arts & Culture/Quality of Life (Community-University Collaborations)
- Campus and Urban Planning and Design Projects
- Facility Design and Usage (Joint University-Community Purposes)
- Campus Safety
- Off-Campus Housing/Neighborhood Association Relations
- Community Relations/On-and Off-Campus Special Events (Total Program/Individual Projects)
- Effective Community Law Enforcement (Community Policing)
- Public School System/University Collaborations
- Community/University Joint Marketing & Public Relations Efforts (Tourism)
- International Cultural Aspects of College Towns
- Continuing Education and Outreach (Community Education)
- Transportation
- Town-Gown U-Student Leadership in Action
- Emergency Management in Town-Gown Relations
Presentation proposals are being accepted through January 31, 2012.
