The upcoming issue of eLearning Papers invites papers on ‘Performance Support & Learning Analytics’. The issue aims to generate debate and bring together critical voices to discuss the issues regarding traditional training and development environment and the concept of performance support and to generate discussions on the argument that performance support is beneficial only when applied to specific job positions and sectors only.
Topics (may be but not limited to)
- Performance support tools (checklists, wizards, sidekicks, planners)
- Learning in the workplace
- In-service teacher training and performance support
- Competences addressed with performance support i.e. new curriculum with performance support system
- Continuing education and professional development
- Q&A in performance support
- Learning analytics potential to unveil individual learning styles
- Learning analytics: adaptation and customization of learning
- Educational data mining
- Big data for business intelligence
Types of Articles
- In-Depth: Full-length texts discussing current findings from research or long-term studies. They must have academic focus and be in good editorial form. The articles should range from 4,000-6,000 words.
- From the Field: Synopsis of current practices or studies taking place within Europe or beyond. They must be brief communications and in good editorial form. The articles must not exceed 1,200 words.
Articles must have the following elements
- Title
- Executive Summary
- Keywords (up to five)
- Conflusions (clearly stated in both summary and article)
- References
- Author Profile
- Images
Eligibility Criteria
- The submitted articles must fall within one of the two above mentioned types.
- Both the articles and summaries must be written in English language.
