The Journal of Lesbian Studies is planning to publish a special issue devoted to topic of LESBIANS, SEXUALITY, AND ISLAM and in this context entries are invited from authors to write on these issues.
It has been observed that not much work is published about lesbians and Islam. The authors may write about the topics and methods including but not limited to religion, Quran, Hadith, Sharia, personal experiences of Muslim women, ethnic and regional diversities, oral histories, feminist theory, research, fiction, and poetry. Authors may use a pseudonym if they prefer.
Moreover, The Journal of Lesbian Studies examines the cultural, historical, and interpersonal impact of the lesbian experience on society, keeping all readers-professional, academic, or general-informed and up to date on current findings, resources, and community concerns. Independent scholars, professors, students, and lay people as well as clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, sex therapists, criminologists, and lawyers will find this interdisciplinary journal essential on the topic of lesbian studies!
So as to get your article approved, authors first need to send a one-page abstract of their proposed contribution. Proposals will be evaluated for originality and writing style, as well as how all the contributions fit together. Potential authors will be invited to write full articles in the range of 5,000 to 7,500 words.
