The Global Development Network (GDN) is accepting paper abstracts from any individuals including researchers and professionals around the globe to present in GDN Annual Conference to be held from 11-13 June 2015 in Morocco. Selected abstract author(s) can apply for support to attend the conference. Best paper(s) are awarded prize in the conference.
Stages of Paper Submission
- Paper Abstract Submission by 31 January 2015
- Full Paper Submission by 8 March 2015. Teams or individuals whose papers are selected will be notified by 23 February 2015 and called for full paper submission. Successful full papers will be notified by 31 March 2015.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications can be made individually or in teams. Each team need to have a principal author who will register the application.
- More than one application can be submitted but themes must be different.
- Applicants can be any individual including researchers and professionals.
- Paper can be submitted in English or French.
- Abstract papers can be 1000 to 2000 characters (with spaces) clearly stating the purpose of the study.
- Published papers are eligible to apply given they were published within one year of the closing of the call.
Chance to win Best Paper Prize
- Author(s) who meet the following criteria have chance to win Best Paper(s) Award
- Individuals in developing and transition countries who are citizens of permanent residents of these countries.
- Citizens of developing and transition countries temporarily residing in a developed country for no more than five consecutive years as of 31 January 2015.
- Individuals not more than 45 years of age.
- Applicants can’t be staff members of multilateral and bilateral organizations.
- Applicants can’t be previous and current employees and grant winners of the GDN, the employees of GDN-RNP’s and Board members, project mentors, evaluation team members.
- Past grantees of GDN Awards and Medals competition are allowed to apply for the grant but not with the same GDN funded research outfit. Previous Medal winners cannot apply for 3 years of winning the prize.
