Researchers from all academic backgrounds including social sciences and humanities, life sciences, engineering, medicine, etc. are invited to submit proposals for individual presentations, panels, poster, film, and photography presentations in the international conference on Islam and Science: Past, Present and Future to be held in 18th & 19th October 2014 at Manchester, United Kingdom. It is a joint program of the British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC) and The Blueshift Project. The conference aims to promote Islamic achievements throughout history. A workshop on Geometric Patterns in Islamic Art will be held parallel to the conference.

- The history of plant medicine
- Food and diet
- The future challenges for public health: new technologies and practices
The conference will be attended by scholars and audiences of all faith and backgrounds. It will focus on contributions that are transpiring now that will impact on the future. The event intends to bring a better understanding of the interactions and exchanges that have taken place between various faiths and cultures in enriching our common heritage.
Interested applicants should submit abstracts of up to 300 words for individual papers and 600 words for panel proposals accompanied with a 100-word biographical note.
