Description:
CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) through The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) supports small projects proposed and implemented by local organizations in Angola. In providing funding for small projects that offer direct social, economic, or technical assistance to local populations, the CFLI contributes to the overall goal of reducing poverty.
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) does not maintain a significant assistance program in Angola and there are no long term projects planned in this country.
Issues:
Angola benefits from various programs. Examples of such programs are:
– geographic and multilateral programs including:
– the Pan-Africa Regional Program and
– the International Humanitarian Assistance Program;
– other programs that allow institutions, associations, Canadian and international non-governmental organizations and, private sector enterprises to receive funding from CIDA to execute projects worldwide.
