European Economic Area (EEA) in cooperation with Estonian Youth Work Center (EYWC), Estonian Ministry of Education and Research (MoER), is seeking proposals for ‘Children and Youth at Risk – Development and Application of Inclusive Educational Organization Model and Appropriate Intervention Strategies in Formal Education System to Improve the Welfare of Vulnerable Groups of Children and Youth’ program. Major objective of the funding opportunity is to improve the wellbeing of children and young people from birth to age 26 in Estonia.
Applications can be submitted between 170,000 Euros to 1,200,000 Euros.
Applications can be submitted in two project areas –
- Development of inclusive educational organization and supporting children and youth at risk.
- Improvement of educational counseling services, raising the competence of support specialists and development of assessment instruments for special educational needs.
Eligibility Criteria –
- NGOs , public institutions and authorities, including ministries and their agencies, county governments, foundations, universities and local governments of the Republic of Estonia.
- Applicant must involve into the project kindergartens, schools and counseling centers of the relevant region, taking into account the minimum requirement to involve at least 40 educational institutions or 200 pupils for first project area.
- Applicants have to be involved in teacher and support specialist training and development of assessment instruments for second project area.
- Applicants must be previously operating in the field of education, counseling or teacher/support specialist training for at least 4 years (with exception of regional counseling centres established recently due to structural reorganizations)or provide evidence that the members of the project team have at least 4 years of experience of the relevant field and project management.
- Applicants must be registered in Estonia. Organizations and institutions from Estonia, other beneficiary states, the donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and Russia can be involved in a project as partners.
- Applicants cannot have debts to the EYWC concerning other supported projects (unreported activities, previous abnormal use of financial assistance, etc.).
- Commercial enterprise cannot submit a proposal but may be included as partner.
