The Open Society Foundation invites emerging or veteran photographer working long-term to document a human rights or social justice issue to apply for Moving Walls 23 Group Exhibition.
Five to six projects that provide a fresh perspective and expand the visual language of documentary photography will be selected. The $2500 participation fee, printing/framing, travel cost to attend the opening reception and related events and return shipment of photographs will be covered by the Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be any emerging or veteran photographer who is working long-term to document a human rights or social justice issue.
- Applicants from underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants from Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and the Middle East are encouraged to apply.
- Project must be documentary-based work that uses new or creative visual strategies, investigative/storytelling approaches, or technologies.
- Applicants must reflect a diversity of global perspectives, especially those that are under-represented in mainstream narratives and media.
Complete application includes – project summary, project statement, process/presentation description, short narrative bio of previous work and experience, curriculum vitae, 15-20 jpg images with corresponding captions, video/multimedia link (if any).
