The Institute of Development Research and Development Policy (IEE) at Ruhr-University Bochum together with the School of International Development (DEV), University of East Anglia, UK, and the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, NL, as well as the IEE’s cooperating partners in the UAMR Graduate Centre for Development Studies, the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF) and the Institute of Political Science (IPS), University Duisburg- Essen, is organizing the first PhD Conference on International Development.
The conference will take place from 18 – 19 September 2012 in Bochum, Germany.
Eligibility-
- Candidates with excellent grades in Development Studies or related social science disciplines are invited to apply for admission to the 2013 Master’s by coursework or PhD programmes at University of the Western Cape.
- applications from South African and other Sub-Saharan citizens for scholarships through the SA-German Centre for Development Research are also invited.
- Successful master’s and PhD candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in the master’s or PhD programmes offered by our German partner, the Institute for Development Research and Development Policy at Ruhr-University Bochum.
