Mid Michigan Digital Practitioners (MMDP) planning group is currently inviting Proposals for its Michigan State University Meeting to be held on March 18, at Grand Valley State University. This meeting will bring together a wide range of professionals engaged in creating and curating digital collections in Mid-Michigan and the surrounding region, including librarians, archivists, museum curators, historians.

MMDP welcome proposals from anyone, but are particularly interested in proposals from smaller institutions and students! Proposals can be for presentations (5, 10 or 15 minute duration), posters or demos.

  • Best Practices for Community Engagement and Participation
  • Managing Partnerships (with vendors, technology experts, other institutions, etc.)
  • Working with community development efforts such as Hydra, DPLA, Fedora, Islandora, ASpace
  • Privacy issues
  • Digital Reference Services

To submit a proposal, please send an email with your idea. Proposals should include a title, a brief description of the topic, format (presentation, poster, demo) and how much time is needed (if a presentation or demo.)
