The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is organizing the 2012 ICT4D (Information Communication and Technology for Development) Conference on 27 March 2012 at Kigali, Rwanda.
This conference will provide a space where solution providers, development practitioners, international donors and government agencies can come together and learn about successfully deployed solutions and sustainable business models with a focus on agriculture and health.
A call for applications has been issued by CRS for “Creating Value Through ICT4D Partnerships: NGOs, Government and the Private Sector Innovating Together.” Applications are requested vendors, nongovernmental organizations and government agency teams to present at the 2012 ICT4D conference on the theme of partnerships. In order to be considered, projects should meet the following criteria:
- Successful deployment/use in the field.
- Relevant to major NGO service sectors, including health, agriculture, education, microfinance, distance learning, emergency response and monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated impact on the quality of relief and development programs.
- Ongoing value to developing communities.
