CIVICUS and Institut du Nouveau Monde are offering 15 bursaries to committed young people so they can take part in the CIVICUS World Assembly, which will be held from 3-7 September 2012, in Montreal, Canada.
The 15 bursary recipients will be selected on the basis of their active commitment towards their community and society at the local, national, regional, and/or global level, the reality of their financial needs, and their motivation in getting involved in the 2012 CIVICUS World Assembly.
Required qualities:
- Be 30 years old or less before 3 September 2012;
- Personally committed or committed through an organisation to promote social justice;
- Share CIVICUS values and show an understanding of the objectives of both the World and Youth Assemblies;
- Be ready to support the World Assembly team and its influence before, during, and after the event;
- Multilingual abilities are an asset (French, English, and Spanish);
- The ability and availability to support our team of whisper translators or our team of session rapporteurs is also an asset.
The CIVICUS Youth Assembly is a unique opportunity for young people to meet and work with other World Assembly delegates who are really making changes that matter.
