Economic conference will be organized at the Evergreen Park TEC Centre from 22 to 23 February. Alberta’s economic decision-makers will join together in Grande Prairie for the third annual Economic Conference in February.
The conference will host representatives from the forestry, oil and gas, and agriculture industries to discuss the issues facing the region. Eminent speakers include Canfor president Don Kayne, and Export Development Canada director Todd Evans.
The main aim of the event is to discuss on issues specific to the region. There will be around 350 to 400 attendees including British Columbia and Northwest Territories representatives.
The event will be hosted by the Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce, the City of GP, County of GP, Farm Credit Canada, Community Futures and the Business Development Bank of Canada.
Walter Paszkowski, economic development manager for the County of Grande Prairie, believes industries have to be competitive on a global market.
