United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is organizing Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development during 21-22 May 2015 in Bangkok, London. This forum is being held for soliciting Asia-Pacific regional input to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2015 which will be held from 26 June to 8 July 2015 under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Theme of HLPF is “strengthening integration, implementation and review – HLPF after 2015”.
representatives from governments, Major Groups, and international organizations will be invited to participate in the forum. Channels of invitation are:
- Governments: The official invitation for nomination will be sent through the diplomatic channel.
- Major Group: The guideline for Major Group participation will be announced on ESCAP website.
- International organizations: The announcement will be made through the United Nations Regional Coordination Mechanism.
