The 31st annual Green Industry Conference will be held on January 5 at Delaware Valley College, Doylestown. The event will be co-sponsored by Penn State Extension, Delaware Valley College, the Pennsylvania Nursery Landscape Association and the Philadelphia Branch of the Professional Grounds Management Society.
Greg Hoover, entomologist from Penn State, will analyze innovative invasive pests and how to manage them. This conference will also present horticulturist Bill Hendricks, president of Klyn Nurseries in Ohio, with list of more than 1,800 species and cultivars of ornamental plants.
Breakout sessions will feature discussions on:
- Nutrient management legislation
- Imprelis herbicide injury
- Social media and the green industry
- Invasive plant management
- First response to accidents and pesticide regulations and safety
