The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) is calling applications for the 2015 IHS Conference and Research Grant. It is awarded to current PhD students advancing the principles of personal liberty and economic freedom through an academic career.
Grants up to $750 are available to cover travel, conference fees, and other career-related expenses. The awards are made available exclusively to applicants who are new to IHS or who have recently indicated an interest in academia.

IHS was founded in 1961 with the aim to advance a freer society by discovering and facilitating the development of talented, productive students, scholars, and other intellectuals who share an interest in liberty.
Eligibility Information
- PhD students currently enrolled in graduate school are eligible for awards from the IHS Conference & Research Grant regardless of their nationality.
- Students of any university may apply for this fund.
