Applicants are invited for Bali Consultation Meeting on the Post-2015 Development Agenda from youth change makers around the world. The meeting will held on March 24th – 25th march at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre, Bali, Indonesia. The aim of this meeting is provide opportunity for young people to contribute in setting the framework of post-2015 agenda with prominent figures and decision-makers across sectors. As well, it presents a stronger collective force for youth as our participation will ensure that the leaders continue to provide us with he opportunity to collaborate in the long run and held accountable to us as this progress carries on.
Youth delegates will be given the opportunity to debate, discuss and champion with high-level decision makers on what a post-2015 development agenda should look like, how it should be implemented and how youth voices are well integrated into the process.
Themetic areas will cover-
Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Children, Access to Decent Employment, Comprehensive Education, Ecological Conservation, Human Rights, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, LGBTQ, HIV/AIDS, Traditional Knowledge and Indigenous People, People with disability / diffable,
Activities:
- Youth Caucus/ strategy meeting, March 24th 2013- One day consolidation meeting to further adjust the level of knowledge on HLP activities; various processes within the post 2015 framework such as Rio summit, SDGs, ICPDs, thematic consultation, etc; as well as planning youth input into into the multi-stakeholder meeting.
- Multistakeholder Meeting (parallel group discussion for youth), March 25th 2013- A strategic meeting with the focus on constructive dialogue in inputting the HLP members on the interplay of key stakeholder, impact and scale of post 2015 development agenda as well as translation from aspiration to goals and indicators.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- young people across the globe are eligible to join this meeting.
- Applicant must be under the age of 30 years old by March 24th, 2013
- Experience and familiarity with HLPEP and Post-2015 Development Agenda
- Active in organization(s), preferably those with working areas related to development and youth issues
- Stellar leadership and organizational skills
- Prior experience(s) in consultation meetings related to Post-2015 Development Agenda is preferable, but not compulsory
- Fluent in English is preferable, but not compulsory
