The Creative Development Association (community of alumni of the US Government-sponsored exchange programs in Moldova) and the MDIMUN 2011 Organizing Committee have announced the opening of applications for the first edition of the Moldova International Model United Nations Conference.
Building upon the previous success on national level and organized in the framework of the International Year of Youth, as well as the 20 years celebration of the independence of the Republic of Moldova, it promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.
This academic simulation of the United Nations system and decision making process will develop your knowledge of the way international organizations function, the international issues brought on the agenda, as well as your skills in public speaking, negotiations and debate, conflict resolution and diplomacy. These skills are indispensable for future thinkers and leaders in international relations, business, law, economics, science and civil society, in general.
For a few days each participant will take on the role of a diplomat of another country than his own and exercise the complexities of international policy formation at first hand.
