The Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies is calling proposals for the inaugural of Notre Dame Young Scholars Peace Conference. This conference is organized by peace studies Ph.D. and master’s students.
The conference theme is “Beyond Boundaries: Shifting Dynamics in Peace and Conflict Studies.” The conference will take place on November 6-7, 2015, at the University of Notre Dame.
The University Of Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies is one of the world’s leading centers for the study of the causes of violent conflict and strategies for sustainable peace. The Kroc Institute’s mission is integral to Notre Dame, an international Catholic research university.
Eligibility Criteria
- Conference welcomes individual papers, full panels, roundtables, posters, and workshops that explore the flows and changes taking place worldwide.
- Graduate students and early career faculty focusing on peace and conflict are encouraged to submit proposals.
- The institute encourages submissions that transgress established disciplinary boundaries in the arts, humanities, social and natural sciences.
Submission Process
Proposals should include a 300-word abstract explaining the topic, theoretical background, methodology, and implications of the project. Participants are required to fill the online proposal application by the deadline.
