Applicants are invited to participate in Demand Creation for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) meeting offered by International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie). The meeting will take place in Africa from 3rd to 5th April 2013 in Lusaka, Zambia.
The aim of this call is to invite researchers working on HIV prevention and/or male circumcision or having well-grounded, innovative ideas to increase the demand for medical male circumcision to submit an expression of interest to participate in the Southern and Eastern Africa regional meeting on demand creation for male circumcision and the impact evaluation matchmaking event.
3ie will pay the conference fee for all selected researchers, an economy return airfare from their home country and hotel for the duration of the meeting. Any other costs are the responsibility of selected researchers. Successful applicants will attend the two day meeting and the one day matchmaking event with intent to partner with implementers of VMMC programs in order to submit an application to 3ie’s TW3. Moreover, researchers should be willing to present a research paper during the first two days of the meeting if requested.
Eligibility & Criteria-
The call is open to researchers working on HIV prevention and/or male circumcision or other health researchers with well-grounded, innovative ideas to increase the demand for medical male circumcision

- Signed certification that applicant can and will attend the meeting and participate in the impact evaluation matchmaking if selected
