Qitcom 2012 is an ICTQatar initiative to be held from March 5 to 7 at the Qatar National Convention Centre. This conference and Exhibition aims at the promotion of ICT to achieve the country’s vision of becoming a knowledge-based economy.
The event will link policymakers, technology providers and big institutions in Qatar and will also provide golden opportunity to support Arab initiatives and innovations in ICT. Due to the increasing number of foreign companies engaged in information and communication technology (ICT), there are plans to increase the exhibition space for Qitcom 2012 by 50 percent.
The conference programme will emphasize on latest technology and innovations while the expo will visualize participation of local and international firms in which a special gallery will be dedicated to upcoming firms. A feature of the event is a creativity theatre where companies will present their innovative ideas and plans related to ICT, in which the winning projects will be sponsored by ictQatar. Qitcom 2012 will also incorporate a forum targeting SMEs and focus social networking as one of the most significant technologies in the world.
