The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) is accepting scholarship applications from the working, professional journalists who are the active members of SPJ for Terry Harper Memorial Scholarships to participate in Excellence in Journalism Conference.
Excellence in Journalism is the national journalism conference of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio Television Digital News Association to be held from 4-6 September 2014 at Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
The scholarship covers- convention registration, three nights stay at the convention hotel, airfare to Nashiville (up to $250), and one ticket to the RTDNA Paul White Awards Reception and one ticket to the SPJ President’s Installation Banquet.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be an active member of the SPJ.
- Applicant must have contributed to SPJ on the local, regional and/or national level.
- Applicant must be a working, professional journalist.
Previous recipients of a Terry Harper Memorial Scholarship are not eligible to apply.
