Proposals are invited for Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development Program in Somalia for Media, Culture & Reconciliation under Europe Aid. The mission of this program is to enable Somali civil society actors to engage and address the causes of conflict and improve inclusive, transparent and accountable governance at all levels.
Objectives-
- Actions supporting the implementation of the media strategy for Somalia in its three pillars: legal, capacity building and audience
- Actions supporting culture and peace while at the same time increasing sense of citizenship (targeting the youth)
- Promotion of consultations, dialogue and reconciliation initiatives between existing forms of governance at local and regional levels with the central one in particular in the newly liberated areas
- The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is €2,480,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 60 months
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or one of the developing (partner) countries
- be a Non-State Actor constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in a partner country or a Member State of the European Union. A NSA from a Member State of the European Union must have been registered for at least three years at the time of the submission of an application. A NSA from a developing/partner country have been registered for at least two years at the time of the submission of an application and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
