German Institute of Global and Area Studies is seeking applications for Doctoral Programme. Applications are accepted in the fields of-
- Legitimacy and Efficiency of Political Systems
- Violence and Security
- Socio-Economic Challenges in the Context of Globalisation
- Power, Norms and Governance in International Relations
Documents required-
- application form
- letter of motivation
- CV
- copies of degree and academic transcripts (secondary school leaving certificate or high school diploma, transcripts or certificates of annual examinations, certificates of any academic degrees)
- two letters of reference
- proof of English language skills
- MA thesis or two pieces of scholarly work
- research proposal of max. 2,000 words
Eligibility & Criteria-
- An excellent grade point average and a final degree (masters or equivalent) in political science/international relations, economics, history or a related discipline.
- A project proposal that fits with GIGA’s research programmes. Priority will be given to those projects with a cross-regional or a comparative area studies focus.
- Strong command of the English language.
