The Tilitonse Fund is calling applications for Rapid Response Window. The overall goal of the fund is to support governance in Malawi that is increasingly inclusive, accountable and responsive to citizens.
The RRW will only provide financial support to the maximum of GBP 60, 000 for short-term projects to be implemented in less than a year.
Tilitonse Fund is a grant making facility jointly funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), Royal Norwegian Embassy, and Irish Aid. In line with the Government of Malawi’s Policy Frameworks, especially the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy, Tilitonse supports civil society to play a role in promoting democratic governance.
Eligibility Information
- All non-state actors (broadly included within civil society and media) can access funds as implementation champions of a clear ‘Rapid Response’ qualifying issue, whether they already have a Tilitonse supported project or not.
- The minimum requirements are that an organization applying should be:
- Non-governmental
- Non International
- Registered in Malawi for over one year under the Trustees Incorporation Act, Companies Act
- Participating organizations should have:
- A Constitution, Articles of Association or Trust Deed
- An established board that is independent of management
- A bank account operated by more than one signatory
- Locally registered implementing chapters of international or regional (network) organizations are eligible if they meet the following minimum criteria.
- The majority of Board members are based in Malawi
- The Malawian organization is financially largely independent of its international mother body
