The Australian Institute for performing Arts is pleased to announce Scholarship in the memory of Blair Milan, his passion for performing and sharing his gift with others.The Blair Milan Memorial Scholarship was founded to financially assist actors and performers to explore their craft and train in the US through the Australian Institute for Performing Arts Talent Development Program.
Eligibility–
The scholarship to the value of US$5000.00 will be awarded annually (by panel selection) to one performer of any nationality, 14 years and over.
How to apply–
- A cover letter (max two page) stating why applicant feel that they are an appropriate candidate. Please mention how they are known to AIPA and if they knew Blair, how well and in what capacity.
- Two (2) professional references (max one page per reference) from people who have taught, directed or worked with applicant (Must be on letterhead with contact details) These references should make reference to their evident skill and how they believe that their chosen talent development project (PAM*, 8 Count, Singer/Songwriter, Atlantic Theatre Company LA Intensive or GLEEClub Australia) will benefit their development.
- Two (2) personal references (max one page per reference) from people who have known applicant for a minimum of three years, who are not directly related to them. These must include the referees contact details.
- Applicant’s resume.
- Applicant’s headshot
- A link to applicant’s website, YouTube account, show reel/demo reel. Please do not send us a file to download, as we will simply delete it. If applicant upload to Vimeo, please name the file “AIPA Blair Milan Scholarship Application 2013” and include their name.
