Beth Kidnie friends, colleagues and family invites application for Undergraduate Award for Excellence Canadian citizen in Wilfrid Laurier University.
Endowed award; established in memory of Beth Kidnie by her friends, colleagues and family to recognize students who demonstrate both the pursuit of excellence in work and study as well as generosity of spirit to fellow students, the university and the community – Beth Kidnie balanced these objectives in her life; the recipient will be selected by a committee comprised of the Kidnie family and a representative from the Student Awards Office; granted to the applicant who has a significant record of service in leadership and membership roles in campus organizations, departments and activities which has positively impacted the development or enhancement of co-curricular life at Laurier and who employs a leadership style that is both an example for others to follow and augurs well for success in future leadership roles; one award to be granted annually.
Eligibility–
- Undergraduate students (not in first year) enrolled in a minimum 1.5 credits per academic term; minimum cumulative GPA 7.0 ( B- );
- significant campus involvement demonstrating leadership that has positively impacted the quality of student life at Laurier;
- Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident (landed immigrant) or Protected Person;
- long term resident of Ontario;
- demonstrated financial need.
