The European Commission is accepting grant applications in the form of Concept Notes for the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) Country-Based Support Scheme (CBSS) 2013/14 to Armenia. The grant aims to support actions that strengthen the role of Armenia Civil Society in promoting human rights and democratic reform.
The implementing parties should promote non-discrimination and equality; support the promotion of child rights; promote freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, movement and freedom of religion or beliefs; protection of social, economic and cultural rights among others.
Grant applications can be made in between EUR150,000 and EUR400,000 which should be 50-95% of the total eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of an action must be at least 12 months and at most 24 months. Selected concept notes will be invited to submit full proposal.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be legal person in non-profit-making organization.
- Applying organization must be specific type of civil society organization – non-governmental non-profit organizations and independent political foundations, community based organizations and private sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organizations and networks at local, regional and international level or international organizations as defined by Article 43 of the Rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation.
- Applicants must be established in Armenia or an EU or EEA Member State or an eligible beneficiary under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance. This obligation does not apply to international organizations.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Proposed action must take place in Armenia.
