The BiodivERsA ERA-Net is currently inviting applications for its Joint Call Programme 2015 to support research for understanding and managing biodiversity dynamics to improve ecosystem functioning and delivery of ecosystem services in a global change context. The call will be co-funded by the European Commission.
Grants Available: The indicative global budget for this call is 30 million euro.
Program Themes
Program covers the two following independent themes:
- Understanding and managing the biodiversity dynamics of soils and sediments to improve ecosystem functioning and delivery of ecosystem services.
- Understanding and managing biodiversity dynamics in land-, river- and sea-scapes (habitat connectivity, green and blue infrastructures, and naturing cities) to improve ecosystem functioning and delivery of ecosystem services.

Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants from 15 Countries (mentioned above) are eligible to apply.
- Scientific teams will be invited to form transnational research consortia with teams from minimum 3 countries participating in the call, except for proposals including research groups from outermost regions and overseas countries and territories for which it suffices if the research groups come from two different countries and the proposal concerns three different funding organizations.
