The European Union (EU) is accepting grant applications to implement Neighborhood Civil Society Facility in Ukraine. The major objective of the grant program is to strengthen and promote civil society organizations’ role in reforms and democratic changes taking place in the Neighborhood countries, through increased participation in the fulfillment of Neighborhood Policy objectives. This call aims to promote an inclusive and empowered society in Ukraine, by strengthening civil society’s capacities to promote national reform and democratic changes, in particular to increase public accountability.
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between EUR500,000 and EUR1,000,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 48 months.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be legal person in non-profit making organization.
- Applicant must be specific type of organization – civil society organization – non-governmental non-profit organization and independent political foundations, community based organizations and private sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organizations and networks thereof at local, national, regional and international level, constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in the country concerned.
- Applicant organization must be established in a Member State of the European Union or in an ENI partner country or in an IPA II beneficiary country.
- Applicant must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Actions must take place in Ukraine.
- Preference will be given to actions which propose re-granting schemes.
