Institutions which are actively involved in research and (research) training (e.g. universities, public or private non-commercial research centers, large enterprises, SMEs, non-profit or charitable organizations, etc.) are invited propose a research training network and apply for funding under The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action The Innovative Training Networks (ITN). ITN aim to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative early-stage researchers, able to face current and future challenges and to convert knowledge and ideas into products and services for economic and social benefit.
ITN proposals will define the scientific and technological area within which the individualized research projects of the recruited researchers will be developed, with appropriate reference to interdisciplinary and newly emerging supra-disciplinary fields.

- European Training Networks (ETN)
- European Industrial Doctorates (EID)
- European Joint Doctorates (EJD)
Eligibility Criteria –
- Academic Sector – public or private higher education establishments awarding academic degrees, public or private non-profit research organizations whose primary mission is to pursue research, and international European interest organizations (e.g. CERN, EMBL); and Non-Academic Sector – private enterprises (including SMEs), non-profit or charitable organizations (e.g. NGOs, trusts, etc.), museums, hospitals, international organizations (e.g. UN, WHO) are eligible to apply.
- Eligible Countries are – EU Member States, Associated Countries, and other Third Countries.
