The Danish Government Ministry of Higher Education and Science is inviting highly qualified exchange students wishing to immerse themselves in studies of the Danish language and culture or other fields of study related to Denmark to apply for the Long-Term Scholarships.
The scholarship includes free tuition and a monthly payment of DKK5,000.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be from one of the 19 EU-countries – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Spain, and the Netherlands; Iceland, Switzerland, Serbia and Turkey; and Non-European Countries – China, Japan, Israel, Egypt and Russia.
- Applicants must be master’s and PhD-level students. Bachelors degree students who have studied the Danish language for two years are also eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be the students enrolled in full-degree studies at higher education institutions in one of the eligible countries.
- PhD students must likewise be employed at, or affiliated with, higher education institutions in one of the eligible countries.
- Students who are already enrolled or planning to enroll in a full degree, joint degree, or double degree program in Denmark are not eligible to apply. Full, joint, and double degree students are not considered exchange students and are ineligible for scholarships.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate the certificate of English language proficiency.
