Applications are invited for the Community Grant Scheme for St Helena to provide support to Civil Society Organizations through training provision and small Grants.
In applicant’s application, they can ask for funding for–
- Start-up costs
- Special projects
- Equipment
- Salaries
- Running or capital costs
Grants will normally be given up to the sum of £500, although larger amounts will be considered in exceptional cases.Organization will also be looking for ‘match-funding’ of up to 50% of the total project cost, but this can be through volunteer time or other ‘in kind’ support, not necessarily money.
Services for which funding cannot be provided are listed in the guidance notes which accompany the application form. Details for how to obtain application forms and related documents can be found towards the end of this release.
Eligibility-
- The Community Grant Scheme is now open for applications and Civil Society, community and voluntary organizations are invited to apply for projects that deliver opportunities, support and help to the people of St Helena.
- Any group that has a constitution, a bank account, is not for profit and aims to bring benefits to residents of St Helena, can apply to the grants scheme. Applicant do not need to have charitable status to apply.
