Applications are invited for 2013 Juvenile Indigent Defense National Clearinghouse program which will provide resources to maintain a national clearinghouse on juvenile indigent defense. The aim of this program is to build capacity of the juvenile indigent defense bar, and to promote zealous and effective advocacy for juvenile indigent defendants. this program is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
OJJDP expects to make one cooperative agreement of as much as $400,000 for a 12-month project period.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee.
- OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as coapplicants.
