The National Institute on Aging (NIA) accepting applications for Aging Research Dissertation Awards to Increase Diversity project. The purpose of this project is to research on the basic biology of aging, on chronic, disabling, and degenerative diseases of aging, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s Disease, on multiple morbidities, on individual behavioral and social changes with aging, on care giving, on longevity, and on the consequences for society of an aging population.
NIA intends to fund up to 5 awards corresponding to a total of $250,000 to $300,000 in fiscal year 2014.
