The Center for Unconventional Security Affairs (CUSA) is inviting applications for human Security Fellowships program. This program aims to encourage nominations in fields of medicine, the natural sciences, engineering, and information technology whose work has applicability to reducing human insecurity. Awards are typically given in the amount of $500.
Human Security Fellowships are intended to support students or organizations that conduct important work on topics such as: human rights, sustainable development, development of alternative energy sources and pro-poor technologies, medical and public health interventions, environmental change, peace building and conflict resolution.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Nominations are open to all UCI groups, undergraduate and graduate students (including full time masters and doctoral students, medical students, and postdoctoral scholars). Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they are eligible to receive fellowship funds.
- Nominations should include the name of the person or UCI group, their contact information, applicants contact information (if nominating someone else), and a short (200-500 word) essay on how this person or group has been working to address human security challenges.
