Youth Service America invites applications for National Child Awareness Month Ambassadors Program which is designed to give youth the power and resources to create service and awareness campaigns to make change in their community and state-wide. The Youth Ambassadors get to become leaders for causes that are close to their hearts and the opportunity to directly influence the government regarding important issues that affect children – such as exposure to the arts, education, environment, health and wellness, or social services.
The program aims to give youth nationwide the opportunity to bring awareness to the key issues affecting children in their state, to implement projects that will make an impact, and to serve as national advocates for improving the lives of children.
Eligibility-
- Engage local media and public officials throughout the program (training and support will be provided).
- Participate in ongoing conference calls and submit periodic progress reports.
- Agree to complete a final survey about their program and experience.
- Have their parent or guardian’s permission to participate if they are under 18 years of age.
- Complete the Consent Form to pariticpate in the program.
