Banking on Youth is a golden opportunity to showcase outstanding idea for a venture which directly benefits society. The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) Foundation and banks throughout the country have partnership with Ashoka’s Youth Venture to bring the Banking on Youth competition.
As a young entrepreneur, there is so much more than a great idea and the ability to make money having the power to make a positive difference. People aged between 13-20, show us venture idea through a creative and fun 90-second video and entry form to compete to win one of 33 different $1,000 seed money prizes offered by sponsoring banks to bring idea to life. The top six entrants, selected by the CBA Foundation and Youth Venture, will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the annual Global Youth Venture Summit in Washington, D.C. in July to compete in a “pitch-off” for the chance to win the Audience Choice Award of $5,000 or the grand prize of $15,000!
There is also an option to invest $500 of the prize money to enroll in an online, for-credit Social Entrepreneurship College course at the University of Florida ($500 will cover the total costs of enrollment). To be a part of this exciting opportunity, share idea by submitting an entry form and an original, CREATIVE 90-second video by June 10, 2012.
