Editorial Cartoonists are invited to submit applications for Berryman Award for Editorial Cartoons offered by National Press Foundation. The goal of this program is to exhibits power to influence public opinion in what the cartoonist believes to be the right direction, plus good drawing, striking effect, and effective use of humor. The winner will receive a $2,500 prize at the NPF Annual Awards Dinner.
How to apply?
A short biography and letter of support should be saved as either a Word, text or PDF document BEFORE beginning the online application form. No JPGs. applicants may not save and return to the application later. If these items are not uploaded to the online application, it will be considered ineligible for review.
Eligibility & Criteria-
The Berryman Award is open to editorial cartoonists of newspapers and magazines in the U.S. for work that exhibits power to influence public opinion, plus good drawing and striking effect.
