- Be between the ages of 16 and 21 on June 30, 2012 Submit answers to the two essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the June 30, 2012 deadline.
- Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- Be a citizen of the United States or Canada
