Call for proposals is invited for building the Capacity of Food Safety Entities to Protect Public Health in Response to a Notification under Section 1008 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or a Recall of Foods (U18).
The goal of the FDA/Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) Cooperative Agreement Program is to facilitate long-term improvements to the national food safety system by building the capacity of food safety entities to take appropriate action, including planning and otherwise preparing to take such action, to protect the public health in response to a notification under section 1008 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, or a recall of food under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
