The Vitamin Angels invites grass root organizations including pregnancy resource centers targeting underserved women and national organizations with a network of local operations such as Feeding America, National Association of Free Clinics, and WIC in US or Canada to implement its distribution of daily multivitamins to children under five, new mothers and pregnant women in the US.
Applications can be made for either of the following commodities
- Multivitamins for children 6-59 months
- Multivitamins for pregnant and lactating women
- Interested in becoming an domestic field partner?
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations applying for a micronutrient grant must be a registered non-profit organization (tax-exempt) within the United States or Canada.
- Qualified non-profit organizations will further meet the following criteria:
o Have capacity to and plan to provide micronutrients to the same project areas for at least 3 years, and
o Agree to the terms and conditions listed in the grantee application
- Target beneficiaries must be underserved with respect to access to essential micronutrients, generally meaning that they are uninsured, eligible to receive Medicaid, and/or have household income at the federal poverty level.
- Grant recipients must target only beneficiaries 6-59 months of age, and/or pregnant or lactating women.
